FAQ
How do I gift SkyeSF?
SkyeSF products make great gifting ideas. Whether sending it to your girlfriend, boyfriend, wifey, hubby, or zombie, our skincare line is fun, clean, and effective. Just enter the shipping address of the person you are sending the gift to in the shipping section, and your information in the billing section.
Are SkyeSF products suitable for acne-prone skin?
While all SkyeSF products are non-comedogenic, our Vitamin C serum is a must for acne-prone skin (not to be used with other serums). Also, our Naughty moisturizer is enriched with sweet almond oil that will improve complexion. Put them together, and BOOM!
It is my first time using Vitamin C, how should I start?
If you are a Vitamin C newbie, start slow when incorporating the serum into your beauty regime. Your skin could be going through a period of ‘purging’, which is a term used to describe the adjustment period your skin might go through when you are starting to use a new product. Begin with using it a few times a week to ensure that your skin is not sensitive to the powerful formula. You can increase the number of nights used in the following weeks.
Important Notes:
- Always wear sunscreen when using this product. Sunscreen is an essential part of your skincare routine.
- Patch test before using it.
Does oily skin need to use a moisturizer?
Yes! Even if you have oily skin, you still need a moisturizer to act as a barrier against environmental factors that negatively affect moisture-regulating layers of your skin. Not using a moisturizer could trick your skin into producing more oil resulting in an increase in blemishes. For oily skin types, we recommend our Naughty- but Moisturized moisturizer. Infused with hydrating, brightening, and firming ingredients, this clear, non-pore-clogging formula is intensely hydrating while improving the look of uneven skin tone, rough texture, and aging skin. Additionally, try our Vitamin C serum, it is lightweight and delivers a youthful glow.
Should I wear sunscreen or SPF daily?
Yes! SPF or sunscreen should be applied every morning as the final step in your skincare routine and before sun exposure. No matter your skin tone, every skin needs to be protected from the sun UV rays that can cause cancer even when it is cloudy. Not to mention, a daily SPF can also protect your skin from blue light emitted by digital screens (TVs, computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets), electronic devices, fluorescent, and LED lighting that can lead to aging skin and hyperpigmentation.
If you are using corrective skincare products containing AHAs, BHAs, or Retinol, your skin could be more sensitive to sun exposure. As a result, you should apply SPF to prevent the reversal or adverse effects that the sun could cause.
In what order should I apply my products?
- Cleanse first in the morning and at night.
- If you are masking, mask after you cleanse.
- Apply your serums. If you have multiple serums, the best rule of thumb is to apply your serums thinnest to thickest.
- Apply your moisturizer. In the AM, apply a moisturizer followed with an SPF. At night, apply a moisturizer that will provide intense hydration while you sleep.
